Structured Family Care Giving:
Structured family caregiving is an arrangement in which a participant lives with a principal caregiver who provides daily care and support to the participant based on their daily care needs. Caregivers receive training on the participant's assessed needs from a paid agency and are paid per diem stipends for the care and support they provide.
Structured family caregiving is an organized approach to caring for a family member with chronic illness or disabilities. It involves assessing the care recipient's needs and the caregiver's abilities, creating a comprehensive care plan, dividing responsibilities among family members, promoting effective communication and coordination, providing training and support, establishing backup plans, involving professional assistance, documenting care provided, and monitoring progress. This approach aims to improve caregiving quality, reduce burden, and ensure the well-being of both the care recipient and caregivers.
